Senior Backend Software Engineer

We’re bringing market research into the modern world. We use techniques from distributed systems to categorical statistics to machine learning to data visualization to deliver valuable insights to our clients. Our data pipeline scales into the billions with a serverless architecture to allow our clients to do research based on online actions.

You’ll help set up our systems for the growth to come. No matter the project, you’ll jump in with both feet, architecting it just enough to deliver in the short term and set us up for the long term. You’ll focus on our distributed systems and data pipeline.

Data Engineer

Survata is the Brand Intelligence Platform — allowing brands to measure consumer sentiment at every touchpoint on the customer journey. The world’s biggest brands really want actionable insights, and our Data Engineers build the software that uncovers those insights from the survey data we collect. You will dig beneath the surface to understand the “why” in the data, and you’ll build your understanding into our automated client-facing statistical tools so clients can walk away with real insight instead of just data. Data at lots of companies is an internal-facing exercise, but at Survata it is the heart of what we provide to our clients.

About you

  • You love data & analytics and can build systems that help shine a light on the story behind that data.
  • You love Python, and have worked with the PyData stack, including pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and ideally statsmodels and scikit-learn.
  • You know that clean code and solid engineering is a must. Since the data changes all the time, your code must be well built to work in all cases.
  • Even more important than your statistical knowledge is your statistical instinct - you have a great feel for data.

Full-stack Software Engineer

We’re bringing market research into the modern world. We use techniques from distributed systems to categorical statistics to machine learning to data visualization to deliver valuable insights to our clients. Our data pipeline scales into the billions with a serverless architecture to allow our clients to do research based on online actions.

With a focus on data visualization, you’ll help our clients understand complicated statistical relationships. You’ll add a lot of features quickly, making sure to keep the code base clean. All the way from the database up to the CSS, with the bulk of the heavy lifting in Javascript. Our focus is on keeping things simple for our clients, so you’ll take that to heart while working with our entire engineering team to bring our systems to the next level.

Senior Research Analyst

Survata is changing how brands and marketing experts think about research. This role is ideal for people with a passion for big data and an interest in advertising research. This position will utilize your knowledge of research methodologies, data management, client service, and presentations. You will be managing research studies throughout the research process and are expected to keep everything running smoothly, from translating client research objectives into study design, questionnaire writing, data management and analysis.

Demand Generation Director

You will fill Survata’s pipeline with qualified leads. You will turn our marketing efforts into a predictable machine that enables Sales to hit their quota. You will show us which marketing channels are effective, and where we should be investing.

About you

  • You have successfully led demand generation efforts for a startup selling to Enterprise customers
  • You’ve worked on a marketing automation system, and have a strong view of your ideal “marketing tech stack”
  • You prefer to be held to an MQL quota and compensated for hitting it

Our sales development representative will manage and expand the top of Survata’s sales funnel. You’ll both source high quality leads through targeted outreach, and qualify incoming leads. Sales Operations Lead

Our sales operations lead will take charge of everything under the hood of Survata’s sales machine, and improve our sales efficiency. You will manage our CRM (Salesforce.com) and our sales-tech stack: email-sending platforms, lead-generation tools, contract management software, etc. You will track and analyze the sales team’s performance, pulling together reports on activities and goals. You will make our sales team into a well-oiled machine by converting all actions into repeatable, scalable processes.

About you

  • You have experience with sales operations for a B2B sales organization
  • You’re a Salesforce.com geek, and are bothered by sloppy CRM implementations
  • You’re an advanced Excel user, and don’t even consider pivot tables to be an advanced skill
  • You may not have any background in coding, but are definitely tech-savvy - you aren’t afraid to write a few SQL queries
